Take a tour of the main regions scotch whisky is distilled in (Lowlands, Campbeltown, Highlands, Speyside, the Islands, and Islay). See if they can taste what makes each region distinctive. But be warned, do not start with Islay or you won’t be able to taste anything else for the whole segment.
I did a tasting like this paired with chocolate and I used the following scotches in this order: Auchentoshan(Lowlands), Aberlour(Speyside), Dalmore(Highlands), Springbank(Campbeltown), Highland Park(Islands), Kilchoman(Islay). However, I think you should replace the Kilchoman with Ardbeg, it’s a bit more smokey and peaty and will have them loving life.
