Oregon is known for its breweries — Portland has the most breweries per capita in the United States — and there are some great ones. And not all of them are IPAs (although there are a lot of IPAs).
From Bend: Worthy Brewing, Crux Fermentation Project, Boneyard, Deschutes, Bend Brewing, GoodLife,
From Portland: Ex Novo, Hair of the Dog, Gigantic, Breakside,
From Salem: Gilgamesh, Vagabond, Santiam Brewing (cask-style)
From Eugene: Oakshire, Falling Sky, Claim 52, Hop Valley,
From other cities: Block 15, Rogue, Pelican, Pfreim, Double Mountain, Ordnance, Caldera, Heater Allen (fantastic lagers)
I would be happy to work with you to send you a mixed collection of bottles from around my beer-drenched state. And if you would rather try something else, Oregon is also known for its coffee, distilleries, food, alcoholic ciders and hazelnuts. I’m sure we can work something out.
