Irish people try Southern carnival foods

Here in the southern part of the States, and especially at carnivals and fairs, there’s very little that these savages won’t throw in a deep fryer. We have funnel cakes with cherry compote, deep-fried Oreos, deep-fried Twinkies, deep-fried butter [yes, BUTTER], deep-fried pickle spears [must be dipped in ranch dressing or not eaten at all], chocolate-covered bacon, chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes, deep-fried pimento cheese [again, ranch is a MUST], it goes on & on. You could probably get 2 or 3 episodes out of these culinary abominations. SAUCE IS KEY! Southern folks love sauceage [it’s a verb, (c) 2018 Danno210!]. If you’re not having the complementary sauce to dip the item in, then you’re not truly having the full experience. Sauceage is an absolute must!!! I willingly nominate myself to come there and be the taste-tester in the kitchen to ensure the chef got it right. Hell, fly me over there and I’ll make it all myself.
